காலடி சங்கரா பல்கலைக் கழகம் ஒருங்கிணைக்கும் ‘மகாபாரதம்- மரபிலும் இலக்கியத்திலும்’ என்னும் கருத்தரங்கு வரும் பிப்ரவரி 13 ஆம் தேதி நிகழ்கிறது. அதில் தொடக்கவுரை நிகழ்த்தவிருக்கிறேன். நான் பங்குகொள்ளும் எட்டாவது மகாபாரதக் கருத்தரங்கு இது என நினைக்கிறேன். இன்றும் மகாபாரதம் ஒர் அரசியல்பிரதியாகவே வாசிக்கப்படுகிறது, குறைவாகவே தொன்மப்பிரதியாக என்பது என் உளப்பதிவு. வெண்முரசு முடிந்ததும் முழுமையாகவே மகாபாரதத்தில் இருந்து வெளியேறிவிடவேண்டும் என்னும் எண்ணம் கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்
